How to include the Requester and Assigned person on the Access Request email

I need to include in cc the requester and assigned person on Access Request Email to person the Approver of each item in the email.

Do I need to customize only a template or include more info on Business Processes and how to incorporate this info?

Thanks

Not sure if you mean approver by assigned person but following variables should be available in your approval email template which can be used to populate the data in access request email which is sent by the workflow in Approval step.

item (Workitem object) item.owner should give you the current owner of each Workitem created

identityName is the user for which access request was created

launcher variable should be the user which created the request (requester)

approvalSet variable can be used to get all the data for the items that were requested

Thanks @SanjeevIAM . How can I get the launcher email inside of template? Can I extend the business process to include this email?

You can do that as well where you add an argument in approval step and calculate the launcher email within script and return from the script so that it is set on the argument name which can be used as a variable in your email template. But I would recommend trying to add cc=“$!{item.requester.email}” in your email template as I have mentioned below and see if this works.

\<EmailTemplate cc=“$!{item.requester.email}” name=“YOUR EMAIL TEMPLATE NAME”\>
