I need assistance in creating a workflow that triggers when the Lifecycle State (LCS) changes from **OnLeave** to **Active**.

The query I’m using works correctly, but I want the workflow to send an email **immediately** upon the state change, rather than on a scheduled basis. I’m having difficulty adding an **if-else condition** to handle the LCS change logic.

type:provisioning AND operation:CHANGE AND \_exists\_:info.“newState:active previousState:onleave” AND created:[now-48h TO now] AND name:“Change Identity State Passed”

Cerate a workflow and not a search query.

Some examples are here: [Workflows | SailPoint Developer Community](https://developer.sailpoint.com/colab/workflows)

Specifically you’ll want to look at the “Identity Attribute Changed” trigger, with a filter on the cloudLifecycleState attribute. Then you could perform a few conditional tests to make sure the oldValue of cloudLifecycleState is OnLeave and the newValue is Active. That way you aren’t sending emails for other LCS transitions.

Or, if you want something very quick that does not discriminate on how the identity came to be active, you can set up email notifications in the authoritative source’s identity profile under the active lcs.
