Why can't I change the password for some apps?

    There are several situations in which you might not find a place to manage an app's password:

     

    • The password is owned and managed by your company so you don't have access to it. For assistance, speak to your system administrator.

     

    • An app provided by the company, such as Salesforce, may use a password-free method of federation for you to sign on to that app. You may see that app listed next to the SailPoint password, since signing on to SailPoint is how you access that app.

     

    • Alternatively, the same company sometimes provides multiple applications with a single password. For example, a single user name and password lets you access Gmail and Google Calendar - your Google account. Changing your Google password would modify both Gmail and Google Calendar.
