How do I use Symantec VIP for password resets?

    If you need to verify your identity for a password reset, and your company has enabled the Symantec VIP integration, you can use it to authenticate when you change your password.


    You have the following options for changing your IdentityNow password:


    • Click the Forgot your password? link on the Sign In page.
    • In the Launchpad, under your name, select Update Password.




    • Set up Symantec VIP as described here.


    Complete the following steps:


    1. From the IdentityNow sign in page, click Forgot Password or Reset Password.


    2. When prompted, select one of the following Symantec VIP methods for verifying your identity:


    • Symantec VIP Security Code


    a. Enter your security code.


    b.  Enter your new password.


    c. Click Save.


    Your password is updated.

    • Symantec VIP Push


    NOTE: The VIP Push option only appears if you have the Symantec VIP Access app installed on your mobile or desktop device.


    a. Enter your new password.


    b. Click Send to send the push to your device.


    c. Approve the push on your device.


    Your password is updated.

    If you are resetting your password on a new device, you'll be prompted to provide your old password before the password change takes effect. Without your old password, the account information for apps on your Launchpad is cleared out.
