Facing Issue When Installing the SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) 3.x
Hello forum members,
I am writing to seek advice and guidance regarding an issue that I am facing while attempting to install the SAP [https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/servers-storage/solutions/sap] Java Connector (SAP JCo) 3.x.
During the installation process, I encountered an error message indicating that the installation was unsuccessful due to an unknown error. I have attempted to troubleshoot the issue by reviewing the installation logs and verifying the system requirements, but have not been able to identify the root cause of the issue.
I am reaching out to the forum for any guidance or recommendations on how to address this issue. Has anyone encountered a similar issue while installing SAP JCo 3.x? If so, how did you resolve it? Are there any specific configuration settings or steps that need to be taken in order to ensure a successful installation?
Any advice or guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Judy

Hi Judy,
not sure if this is still relevant, if it is let me know if this is for IDN or IIQ. Basically for IDN the files (libsapjco3.so and sapjco3.jar) should simply be uploaded through the connector UI.
For IIQ you should follow these steps:
- sapjco3.jar -> copy to WEB-INF\lib
- libsapjco3.dll-> copy to WEB-INF\lib
- Restart IIQ service
Hope this helps,
Edwin
