We’re thrilled to announce the launch of enhanced Training Administrator functionality within Identity University! With this new functionality, we are empowering Training Administrators with the control to self-manage and assign purchased training subscription licenses and visibility into each individual learner’s progress through courses and exams.  

With this enhancement, now Training Administrators can: 

• Self-manage subscription licenses: Effortlessly assign and re-assign purchased training subscription licenses to individuals across your team; providing them access to all on-demand courses with one click. 
• Track course and exam progress: Gain a snapshot view of subscription license utilization, such as course progress and certification exam completion, for each individual learner.

By leveraging our improved functionality, Training Administrators can quickly and efficiently assign subscription licenses to individuals across their organization. Once those individuals have completed all on-demand courses within a targeted training path, Training Administrators can then re-assign that subscription license to a different individual to start their learning journey. This self-serve assigning and re-assigning capability allows two individuals to utilize a single training subscription license each year; allowing your entire team to stay up to date on SailPoint technology, ensuring your team is fully trained across SailPoint product and features and allowing you to maximize your SailPoint investment.  

This new functionality is available to all dedicated Training Administrators starting today. Simply sign in to your Identity University profile to start utilizing these new capabilities!

Not a Training Administrator? We encourage each organization to have at least one dedicated Training Administrator. Review our new Identity University Training Administrators Guide to learn about the role of a Training Administrator. Then, opt-in to become your organization’s dedicated Training Administrator and start utilizing these new capabilities today. 

You’ll notice a new icon next to our training content within Identity University. With just one click, you can bookmark any training path or course you’re interested in adding to your saved list; whether it’s courses you’d like to revisit and explore further or you’re wanting to keep track of your training path progress. Your learning journey just got easier to find.

Save today, complete later 

All your bookmarked training paths or courses are easily accessible from your learner profile, so you can quickly view your progress and pick up right where you left off.

By adding training paths and individual courses to your saved list, you can: 

1. Quickly access the content you need: View your saved list directly from your profile, so you always know where to go to find the courses you need 
2. Plan your learning journey: Save multiple courses and training paths to build your own customizable learning queue of training content you want to complete next 
3. Stay organized: Keep track of courses that catch your eye without having to search for them again

The Engineer path: Elevating your skills to advanced levels 

Once you’ve built a strong foundation as an Identity Security Administrator, the Identity Security Engineer training path takes things to the next level. This advanced training path delves into the skills that are essential for more technical, hands-on roles: complex troubleshooting, API integrations, custom configurations and workflows and is designed for those who want expert-level control and customization capabilities of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. 

Here’s a quick overview of what has changed in the Identity Security Engineer path: 

• The following course was added: Configure and Extend Identity Security Cloud Connectors  

• A brand-new credential exam was added: Identity Security Expert Knowledge Credential  

• The following credential exam was removed: Identity Security Professional Knowledge Credential (you can find this credential exam within the Identity Secuity Administrator training path)

Two paths, one goal: Success and growth 

The Identity Security Administrator training path is foundational, while the Identity Security Engineer training path is proficiency. By distinguishing these paths by role, we ensure that every learner can progress logically and confidently, without skipping essential building blocks. The Administrator path equips you with the core knowledge, making the transition to the Engineer path smoother and more effective.
