Introduction

The SailPoint Identity Security Expert Credential represents a professional's advanced knowledge of Identity Security Cloud transforms, rules, workflows, event triggers, and Access Intelligence Center dashboards. The Credential validates mastery of content covered in the SailPoint Identity Security Engineering training path. The Credential signifies proficiency in designing, developing, configuring, building, creating, and automating Identity Security solutions and extensibility through the User Interface (UI) and Application Programming Interface (API). Holders of this credential are equipped to address technical and complex aspects of Identity Security Cloud along with connectivity to SaaS and on-premises sources.

Exam Information

The exam consists of 65 multiple-choice questions, including standard multiple-choice and multiple select questions. The exam is online and not proctored. The exam seat time is up to 90 minutes, and you must complete the entire exam in one sitting. Upon exam submission, you will receive a Pass/Fail decision. You will automatically have one exam retake available.

The exam will automatically end once you have answered enough questions correctly or incorrectly, meaning all exam questions may not be presented to you. Once you reach the threshold of correct or incorrect number of questions answered, you will automatically receive a pass or fail result. Therefore, you might complete your exam in less than 90 minutes. Please note that you cannot go back and change your answers once you submit a question. You will not be able to flag questions for further review.

Preparing for the Exam

To prepare for the exam, you must take all the courses in the Identity Security Engineer path. The prerequisite to access the exam is the completion of all courses in the learning path. We recommend re-taking courses and lessons until you have mastered the knowledge and skills taught.

Score Report

At the end of the exam, you will receive a score report. This score report will help you understand your strengths and weaknesses on the exam content. The percentage displayed is the number of questions you answered correctly in that exam section. The lower the percentage, the more incorrect questions you answered on that topic. If you are re-taking the exam, use this score report to guide you on which courses to focus on. You will also be able to print or email the score report.

Digital Badge

Upon successfully passing the exam, you will earn the Identity Security Expert credential, which will be awarded as a digital badge. You will be able to share your digital badge on your LinkedIn profile, where others can click on the badge and validate the certification’s validity and authenticity. Once earned, the knowledge credential is valid forever and never expires. You can expect to receive your badge within 24-48 hours upon successfully passing the exam. The badge will be delivered by email from Credly, so make sure your email provider does not block the following address: admin@credly.com.
