I wanted to know if there is any way to have the certification event to be with type as “Targeted Certification” ? Mainly our requirement is to be able to certify specific IT roles based on a specific rule event.
We can achieve this with targeted certification as I can filter with specific roles that we need to certify but we need to trigger it based on a specific event.

We have a rule created which returns true if there are specific attributes change (mainly for movers) so we need to create a certification event based on it. but the problem is when creating a certification event it doesn’t have the options like the targeted certification for example certifying specific IT roles.
Okay - this is pretty straight forward. In the certifications section of IdentityIQ you should see a tab titled “Certification Events”. Click that tab and then select “Add New Certification Event”. In the certification builder, select the event type “Attribute Change” next select the attribute you would like the event to trigger off of. Leave “Previous Value Filter” and “New Value Filter” blank. Set the options of the certification up how you would like them, make sure the “Include Roles” box is selected at the bottom of the “Basic” page. When you have finished setting up the certification (all 5 pages), click “Save Event” at the bottom of the page. This certification will trigger any time there is an attribute change.
