Epic SER test connection failing (404)

We are working on setting up the Epic SER connector. We are getting the following error when trying to test the connection.

We have detected an error from the managed system.

Error Received:

HTTP Execution failed with error code 404 and error message: “Service is disabled or unsupported by security policy”

that points to an interconnect issue but we don’t see errors in the interconnect logs at the time of the test. Anyone have any ideas on where to look next?

@swcoleman can you successfully ping and login manually to Epic SER using the same (admin) credentials as those configured in the source? If not, then I’d check to see if the web service in the Epic SER host is up and running.

If it’s still not responding it might need a restart, but I would use caution to not affect production.

Firewall rules could also be blocking port 80 or whatever alternative port is being used to host the Epic SER application.

Just to close the loop. There were 2 parts to getting this running.

- there was an interconnect setup issue.

- the format for the EMP user is different between EMP connector and SER connector. Well it is different between different versions. We are still on the old connector in PRD for now. Doing the new connector in SB for SER. We will upgrade the connector as part of doing SER in PRD.

@swcoleman great to hear and thanks for posting - really appreciate your closing the loop & helping others who may encounter the same issue!
