Hi Team,
We are facing an issue with the File Access Manager (FAM) re-indexing process, where the scheduled task ESReindexEvents is failing while fetching event data from the SQL Server.
Error Details
- SQL Error Code: 10314
- Exception:
Could not load file or assembly ‘sqleventcompression’ - Indicates a CLR assembly trust/security issue
Issue Description
During re-indexing, the task fails while executing:
SELECT MIN(id), MAX(id) FROM whiteops.all_events (NOLOCK);
The failure occurs due to the sqleventcompression CLR assembly not being trusted, resulting in the task termination.
Environment Context
- Issue started post SQL Server migration
- CLR is enabled on SQL Server
- clr strict security is enabled
- Assembly exists but is not listed in trusted assemblies
Clarification Required
We would like guidance on the following:
- Is sqleventcompression a mandatory dependency for FAM re-indexing?
- Does SailPoint require this assembly to be explicitly trusted when clr strict security is enabled?
- Are there any official SailPoint recommendations or scripts to configure this assembly post SQL migration?
- Is there any alternative approach or workaround to proceed with re-indexing if assembly trust cannot be modified?
- Any known issues or documentation related to this scenario?
Impact
- FAM re-indexing is failing
- Historical forensic data is not getting indexed in Elasticsearch
Please let us know if any additional details are required.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Thanks & Regards,
Suraj Kalamkar
