How to configure Proxy server in FAM

We are trying to configure SharePoint Online connector and Azure identity collector in FAM 8.3 SP1.

We have a proxy server to send the traffic from internal server to Internet. Proxy host is configured in LAN settings in the server. But when we started configuring the SharePoint application in business website and Azure collector from client  the server trying to connect to the destination(OAuth and Microsoft URLS) directly and getting blocked at firewall.

After adding ALL_PROXY: <Proxy server:Port> variable in environment variables the client able to send the traffic to Proxy server instead of destination directly. Is there any similar proxy configurations required in other components in FAM? Tried adding proxy host in config files in SiqAPI and userInterface configuration but still it is not sending the traffic to proxy.

Please advise how to configure FAM components to talk to Proxy server.

Set environment variable named ALL_PROXY to configure proxy address. Set environment variable named NO_PROXY to configure address and domains to exclude from being proxied. This is impacts the following services:

  • Activity Analytics
  • Administrative Client
  • Agent Configuration Manager
  • Central Data Classification
  • Central Permission Collection
  • Central Permission Collection - Collector
  • Collector Synchronizer
  • Event Manager
  • Reporting Service
  • Scheduled Task Handler
  • SIQ API
  • User Interface
  • Workflow Service
