I’m trying to make the time zone our Email Templates use EST rather than GMT (which the tenant insists on using even though we’re on the US East datacenter). More specifically, I’m trying to get the certification.expiration date/time in the Certification Template to display in EST. Alternatively, I’d also be okay with dropping the timestamp all together. Any tips?
Stuff I’ve tried includes: (I’ve added “END” to break up the lines I’ve tried)
#set ($gmtDate = $certification.expiration#set ($dateFormat = $dateTool.getDateFormat(“MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm a”))#set ($calendar = $dateTool.getCalendar())$calendar.setTime($gmtDate)$calendar.setTimeZone($dateTool.getTimeZone(“America/New_York”))#set ($estDate = $calendar.getTime()) Due Date: $dateFormat.format($estDate)END #set ($dateFormat = $dateTool.getDateFormat(“MM/dd/yyyy”)) $dateFormat.format($certification.expiration)END
${certification.expiration.toDateString()} No luck on any of the above
