Password management for JDBC applications

Hi,

I have configured the password management for JDBC application in IdentityNow. But the password source for this application is not populated (Please find the attached screenshot) in the application. Also, users who are part of this JDBC application are unable see this application under password manager in order to change the password.

Could you please let me know on what could be the reason for this?

Thank you!

Do you have the password management feature enabled in your tenant?

Hi  @ajmerasunny ,

Yes, password management is enabled for our tenant and its working fine for other connectors like AD, Oracle DB etc. But, the issue is only with JDBC connector. is there anything specific that needs to be done for JDBC connector?

Thank you!

Divya

Hi, I’m having the same problem with a JDBC application. Did you find any solution to this problem?

Hi  @carguimaraes ,

Yes, the issue is resolved now.
The JDBC application did not have the feature “PASSWORD” assigned to it. Follow the below steps to resolve the issue.
1. Get the source configuration and Check for the “features” attribute in the response.

GET- https://{tenant}.api.identitynow.com/beta/sources/{source_id}

2. Execute the below API Endpoint to Add or Remove the feature from the list.

PATCH-  https://{tenant}.api.identitynow.com/beta/sources/{source_id}

Header: Content-Type: application/json-patch+json
    Body: raw- json

[
{
“op”: “replace”,
“path”: “/features”,
“value”: [
“ENABLE”,
“AUTHENTICATE”,
“PROVISIONING”,
“GROUP_PROVISIONING”,
“DISCOVER_SCHEMA”,
“UNLOCK”,
“PASSWORD”,
“SYNC_PROVISIONING”,
“DIRECT_PERMISSIONS”,
“SEARCH”
]
}
]

3. Again run the GET source API endpoint and validate if the feature is added to the source. Post this, the JDBC application will be visible under the password manager.

Thank you,

Divya
