How would I figure out what is causing this error?

Hi @anthag , the error indicates that background identity tasks/jobs are running, which can prevent the deletion of sources, while those tasks are running. If you can find a “quieter” time in the tenant, you may be able to successfully delete the source on your own, at a different time.
Questions:
a.) Does this source still have any kind of aggregation scheduled on it?
--If Yes, please disable or eliminate any scheduled aggregation job for the source being deleted.
b.) How many other sources are running aggregation jobs at the time you are attempting to delete this source?
c.) Is there a time of day when source aggregations are NOT running? (if so, try to delete it at that time)
d.) OR Is there a time when you can interrupt other scheduled aggregations to possibly allow for a quick break that would allow you to delete this source?
Other ideas for debugging:
1.) Go to Admin > Dashboard > Monitor page: do you see any ‘stuck’ tasks or tasks that seem to take longer than normal? The idea of that page is work in - work out.
***Look for a time when there are no QPOC tasks in progress.
2.) Use the REST API to find pending tasks. I don’t see a public endpoint to stop tasks - that could be bad. But at least this can help find pending tasks:
https://developer.sailpoint.com/docs/api/beta/get-pending-tasks
3.) Use the API to try to delete a source. If this is not allowed, do you get another message or more info in the response?
https://developer.sailpoint.com/docs/api/v3/delete-source
--You’ll need to first retrieve the source ID. Either use the API to get a list of all sources, OR you can also get it from the UI (when you open a source in the UI, its GUID is part of the URL).
4.) Wait, and try to delete the source another time, a less busy time in the tenant.
5.) If that does not work, please open a Support ticket. Provide the “trace id” that you get in the UI message, along with the exact time of the error. When you provide the name of the org to support, they can look at the CIS objects and see more of what’s going on. They may need to delete the source for you, if you continually cannot delete it yourself, even at “off times” in your tenant/org.
Hope this helps!
