Preview not pulling data for Web Service Connector in SailPoint IIQ

Hi,

I have configured a simple web service application in SailPoint IIQ 8.5 version  and able to do Test Connection successfully.

Added Account Aggregation operation and mapped the response and when trying to Preview, it is not showing any values.

I am getting response as below when I try to hit the /users url in chrome:

[    {        “id”: 118,        “name”: “Ram”,        “email”: “ram@gmail.com”,        “groupname”: “Admin”,        “costcenter”: “1001”    },    {        “id”: 245,        “name”: “Alok”,        “email”: “alok@gmail.com”,        “groupname”: “Reins”,        “costcenter”: “1002”    },    {        “id”: 345,        “name”: “Bhas”,        “email”: “bhas@gmail.com”,        “groupname”: “Dev”,        “costcenter”: “1001”    }] Not Sure what should be in Root Path -- I tried $, $. , $.users,$.users[*],$.data, $.data[*]. All the examples are mapped to some variable holding the json response which is not in my case. Appreciate , if some one can point out what went wrong with my mapping.

If the Test Connection is successful and still not getting data mean check one of the few things:

  1. Schema mapping of identity Attribute might be wrong.
  2. Response mapping for the Account Aggregation might be not correct.
  3. As per the above json response $ should suffice for root path.
  4. Verify your logs once when you are doing preview or Account Aggregation which might give you some clue.

@shaikshavali Is it only preview not working, or even account aggregation is also not working?

Please share your app xml to review.

Hi neel193,

Both the preview and account aggregation are not working.

Attaching the app xml
cafe-ws.xml (11.5 KB)

Hi pvnkamesh,

I verified the identity mapping and values which all seems to be valid.

As you suggested verified logs during Preview/Account Aggregation and see the below error :

I see only cafe-ws.xml file…no logs attached.

@pvnkamesh

See attached logs

@shaikshavali

Use “$.*” as root path.

Schema (don’t use “id” as an application schema attribute):

@shaikshavali Have you already tried setting rootPath to “$.”?

Hi @shaikshavali

The error highlights that employeeId is not valid attribute, verify the case sensitivity of it  again or else try with any other primary key attribute like email and see if the issue still persists.

As Paul mentioned, rest all config looks ok as per application.xml  and update  it to $.

Thanks @pvnkamesh , tried with email after which it is working..

Thanks Paul… After trying with email… I deleted and created new app with proper mapping of id which worked…thanks for your detailed example…
