Sailpoint Agent on Mainframe Integration Services

Hi Team,

When I install the sailpoint agent on Mainframe server with following services activated (CTSGATE, CTSACS, Managed System Interface)

- How much resource consumption it will have in terms of MIPS?

- How it will get impacted with number of user onboarded ?

- What will be the increased size if we activate the CTS100 in it too ?

Please suggest on the same.

Hi Team

Gentle reminder !

Can you please let us know the update

It is difficult to state a specific value in terms of MIPs (or CPU usage), as this depends on the size of the environment in terms of user accounts and groups/profiles, the level of provisioning activity from IIQ, whether you are performing pre/post script operations, if password reset operations are active, and whether you use the online/offline interceptor.

In general, the CTSACS task will see the most resource usage during account/group aggregation. During other times of the day when there is normal processing, the cpu usage for that task will be minimal. Since the CTSGATE task is used for communication, it would not use much cpu at all. The CTSACD task is used when the optional Online/Offline Interceptor tasks run, so otherwise it is pretty static.

If you are using RACF and configure the Delayed Delete operation, the CTSC100 job would use a small amount of cpu when it is executing, but this is generally a short period of time. Most customers run this as a once daily job, so it does not use much.

An important aspect to the smooth functionality of the mainframe connector is to keep the smp/e maintenance up to date. If you recently installed the base product, you would want to install the latest cumulative file of fixes, to address any error or performance related issues. You may find the downloads and instructions here: Mainframe Connectors Downloads

I hope this helps.

Thanks @teresa_warren  for the response.

@teresa_warren  : Thanks for your detailed response , It is very helpful  But i have few follow-up question on it

1)Can you please confirm if we are running a aggregation to bring 10000 User and 4000 Group with out of box connector no customization ,how much on a average Sailpoint agent  have impact of CPU utilization in terms of MIPS

2)When we are saying this statement “If you are using RACF and configure the Delayed Delete operation, the CTSC100 job would use a small amount of cpu when it is executing” can you please tell us what we are referring in terms of Small amount , Please provide us the amount in terms of numbers if possible
