Browse forums

Select All forums from the SailPoint Community navigation to view available forums.

Choose the forum that best matches what you want to discuss. Posting in the appropriate forum helps other community members find and respond to your topic.

Create a topic

Before creating a new topic, search the SailPoint Community to see if your question has already been answered.

To create a topic:

  1. Select New Topic.
  2. Enter a short, clear title.
  3. Select the appropriate Forum.
  4. Select any relevant Optional tags.
  5. Add the details of your question or discussion. Complete any additional prompts that appear for the selected forum.
  6. Select Create Topic to publish.

When asking a technical question, include helpful details such as the product and version, source or connector, troubleshooting steps you have already tried, and relevant error messages or logs.

Be sure to remove any sensitive or confidential information before posting.

Use tags

Tags provide additional context about your topic and help other members find related discussions.

When creating a topic, use the Optional tags field to search for and select the tags that best match your content.

Choose tags thoughtfully. Relevant tags make the SailPoint Community content easier for others to find and navigate.

Browse topics by tag

Tags associated with a topic appear with the topic in the SailPoint Community.

To find related discussions, select a tag from the Tags section in the Community navigation or select All tags to browse available tags.

Reply to a topic

To join a discussion:

  1. Open the topic you want to respond to.
  2. Select Reply.
  3. Enter your response.
  4. Select Reply to publish it.

If you want to notify a specific community member, enter @ followed by their username. Use mentions thoughtfully, as the member may receive a notification.

Help keep discussions useful

Clear titles, the appropriate forum, relevant tags, and enough detail make it easier for other community members to understand your question and provide helpful answers.

If a topic has already been solved, reply when you have additional information or when the accepted solution does not work for you. For an unrelated question or issue, create a new topic.

How to: Accept a reply as a solution

  2. Click the checkmark icon below the reply.
  3. Once selected, the reply will be marked as Solved and displayed at the top of the topic.

Marking helpful replies as solutions makes it easier for other community members with similar questions to find answers.

Overview
