SailPoint IIQ: Change Help Link (helpPath) to point to External Link

Hi,

We are on v8.2 and would like to update the Help link on the homepage to an external URL. Currently it is pointing to ‘doc/help/help/index.html’ in web.xml

As per my understanding, we can use build.custom.xml to modify a web.xml file. But when I digged more it looks like the HelpServlet still uses the root context and appends whatever we pass in web.xml

How can I update my source code to point the help link to an external URL ?

You need to modify ootb xhtml page “menu.xhtml”  (found inside identityiq folder look for the text “help” and there you will see the href = link that needs to be pointed to your external page.

This is what I have in menu.xhtml. So I can update href=“#” to point to any external link ?

<a target="_blank" href="http://google.com" role="menuitem" tabindex="0" >
