I would like to confirm whether SailPoint supports writing back both the Network ID and the User Principal Name (UPN) to Workday for hourly employees after these attributes are generated during provisioning.
Also, Are there any limitations regarding custom attributes that can be updated by the Workday connector in IdentityNow.
Yes, this is possible. You can write back to Workday using Workflows, although it requires some additional logic and processing.
The key to enabling this is to ensure that the attribute is included in the account schema, and then utilize attribute sync to send the value back to Workday.
it only works if you’re using default fields. we had to turn it off because IdN was constantly attempting and failing at updating the userID in Workday. support said it was because the employee number we are using was a custom attribute.
