SailPoint stores your phone number and email to provide a secure way to reset your IdentityNow password if you ever forget it. Your phone number also can be used for accessing certain applications when your IT administrator requires strong authentication.
NOTE: While you can specify an alternate or secondary phone or email, the values in Work Phone and Work Email are controlled by your system administrator
In all cases you might receive:
- A numeric code on your phone, either through a text message or automated voice recording
- A confirmation link in an email.
You can choose how you would like these messages by selecting an option under Preferences.
