Through hundreds of deployments, SailPoint’s Professional Services team has developed best practices to ensure customers recognize the full value of having an identity security solution powered by AI and ML capabilities from the initial implementation and deployment.
Our highly qualified identity governance professionals will work to understand your business goals and move your organization toward greater identity visibility and control with AI. Some setup services examples include: data loading and configuration of Access Insights, knowledge transfer sessions tailored to your specific organization’s areas of interest and hands-on Access Modeling training for role discovery.
Setup Services are based upon the complexity of the underlying identity environment. IdentityIQ environments tend to have higher complexity due to extensions that customers may have deployed as well as the onsite nature of the identity data repository. The AI-Driven Identity Security setup services hours for each of the three components listed below account for those additional complexities.

The following diagram shows the recommended timeframe for setting up AI capabilities for customers who are just starting their implementation of IdentityNow or IdentityIQ. For customers with existing IdentityNow or IdentityIQ implementations, AI capabilities should be implemented as soon as possible to start maximizing value. In most cases, the implementation will be conducted over a 6-8 week period, with occasional assistance for the customer’s technical team. This will depend upon the complexity of the IdentityNow or IdentityIQ instance feeding data to each of the AI-Driven Identity Security components.
SailPoint suggests implementing within the first 3-6 months of purchase. This timeframe typically coincides with new IdentityIQ or IdentityNow implementations reaching the stage where authoritative source applications are onboarded and aggregating regularly. Note that not all applications need to be completed, and the remainder of the implementation of IdentityNow or IdentityIQ need not be complete before starting to realize value from AI installations.
AI implementations can easily run in parallel with ongoing IdentityNow or IdentityIQ implementations, as the setup for AI-Driven Identity Security is conducted almost exclusively by SailPoint Professional Services resources and involves minimal customer resource commitments.
