Alation SCIM Integration

Customers can now integrate the Alation Agentic Data Intelligence Platform with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud using SailPoint’s SCIM 2.0 SaaS connector.

This new integration enables automated user provisioning into Alation directly from SailPoint, streamlining identity governance for enterprise data platforms. With SCIM 2.0 support, organizations can ensure that the right users have the right access in Alation and that access is removed automatically when it’s no longer needed.

Supported Use Cases

Alation exposes a standards-based SCIM 2.0 API at /scim/v2.
SailPoint connects using the SCIM 2.0 SaaS connector with bearer token authentication.
User identity is keyed by work email, while Alation groups map directly to user roles.
Deprovisioning is handled gracefully by setting accounts to inactive rather than deleting them.
