Are there plans to support version 12?
Hi @deepesh_kumar ,
Although IBM DB2 connector document states supported platforms as Linux, Unix and Windows, we have a DB2 running on Mainframe Z/OS and wanted to check if db2jcc.jar driver can be used for connecting to DB2.
Did either of you ever get resolution around jjain's question? We are running into this same issue, but are using iSeries to run our DB2.
Does this connector only support LUW type DB2?
@jstamps91 The IBM DB2 connector is planned to be certified for the latest version of IBM DB2 (Version 13) on zOS 2.5. I'll be sharing updates on the release timeline soon.
@samgupta Do we have any Updates on Connecting to DB2 on Mainframe.
Bump, we are running into the following issue trying to connect to our DB2 on Mainframe:
Failure trying to get a pooled connection to [jdbc:CONNECTION_URL] com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.SqlSyntaxErrorException: [jcc][t4][10509][13454][3.72.54] Connection to the data server failed. The IBM Data Server for JDBC and SQLJ license was invalid or was not activated for the DB2 for z/OS subsystem. If you are connecting directly to the data server and using DB2 Connect Unlimited Edition for System z, perform the activation step by running the activation program in the license activation kit. If you are using any other edition of DB2 Connect, obtain the license file, db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar, from the license activation kit, and follow the installation directions to include the license file in the class path. ERRORCODE=-4230, SQLSTATE=42968
