File Access Manager 8.4 Service Pack 5 Deployment (standard upgrade) and Installation (new services) Guides
IMPORTANT
Please read this Service Pack Guide carefully as this is a unique Service Pack and requires special considerations.
This service pack (8.4 SP5) comes with a Server Installer and Collector Installation Manager. After applying this service pack, any service installs/uninstalls will require use of the new Server Installer/Collector Installation Manager. Please reference File Access Manager Installation Guide Version: 8.4 SP5
This service pack requires .NET 8
With the release of this Service Pack, all other 8.4 versions will no longer be available for download. This 8.4 Service Pack 5 CAN be directly upgraded from any fully supported versions (starting with 8.3.0.0). If you are on 8.3, you would not need to apply 8.4 to apply this Service Pack. IE. If you are still on 8.3, the upgrade path would be 8.3 – 8.4 SP5.
Please note this is NOT applicable for versions prior to 8.3 of FAM. You will need to follow proper upgrade paths to reach 8.3, which then 8.4SP5 can be applied.
ElasticSearch now uses Temurin OpenJDK (JRE) by Adoptium
Microsoft’s SQL Server 2012 is no longer supported, make sure to upgrade to a supported version before applying this Service Pack.
