The attached task enables users who do not have access to modify a log4j.properties file to apply tracing directives within a JVM on a specific application server. The task will run a specified sub-task with the tracing enabled. This is a useful process for troubleshooting the activity taking place within the sub-task. After the sub-task has run, the default log4j.properties file will be reloaded within the JVM running on that application server. The task result object contains a reference to the destination host for the log file for collection.
