This is to inform you about important updates to SailPoint’s Zendesk integrations, following a recent announcement by Zendesk regarding changes to their OAuth security flows.
On 27th Aug 2024, Zendesk announced that as part of their focus on security and adhering to the most up-to-date recommendation for standards, Zendesk will deprecate the password and implicit grant flows for OAuth on February 17, 2025.
Zendesk is phasing out the use of the OAuth implicit and password grant flows, which are no longer considered secure. Moving forward, only the 'bearer token' authentication will be supported, enhancing the overall security of user authentication.
To ensure seamless compatibility and improved security, SailPoint will be enhancing both the Zendesk Accounts Connector and the Zendesk Service Desk (SDIM):
We recommend preparing to transition your service account authentication to a method supported by Zendesk as soon as possible. This will ensure a smooth migration and continued access to Zendesk’s API through SailPoint’s integrations beyond February 2025.
