How to enroll in a private instructor-led class
Follow these steps to guide you through enrolling in your private instructor-led class.
Please ensure you are enrolled prior to the enrollment close date in order to secure your seat and be able to download the student materials on time.
Review this FAQ article on how to create a SailPoint Single Sign-on (SSO) account that will enable you to access various SailPoint portals including Identity University.
After your new Identity University account has been created, be sure to accept or add identityuniversity_no_reply@sailpoint.com to your email contacts so that you receive important notifications and emails regarding your training.
If you already have a training profile in Identity University, skip to step 2.
Click the specific enrollment link you were sent. Scroll to the bottom and click "Check Completion". You will need to complete the required pre-requisite(s) courses listed prior to enrolling in the class.
Click the specific enrollment link you were sent and click "Buy Now".
You can review the class details in your message center on your training profile in Identity University and accept the automated calendar invite for the class.
You will receive a message seven days and one day before class begins in the Identity University message center with details on how to access your student materials.
If you are enrolled in an IdentityNow or Identity Security Cloud class:
You will receive an email with the registration link for your tenant:
- Click the “Register Now” button
- You will be redirected to your individual lab tenant
- Log into the lab environment as "trainee"
- Setup your password and multi-factor authentication
- You may want to bookmark the page for easy access
If you are enrolled in an IdentityIQ class:
You will have the choice of using a downloadable VM or launching a web based VM from the student materials activities page.
To use the downloadable VM, complete the following setup requirements prior to attending class:
- Ensure that the computer to be used for the training provides a minimum of 4GB unused RAM and a minimum 20GB of free HD space
- Local admin rights on computer may be necessary
- Install software to run the virtual machine. Options: VMWare Workstation Player 15.0 or newer, VMWare Workstation 17 or newer, VM Fusion 10 or newer
- Download the VM zip file from the student materials activities page and unzip
- Test that you can successfully run the VM

When I view the course catalog on Identity University, I see multiple classes and price associated with the class.
You will need to use the specific enrollment link that was sent you. You can cannot access the enrollment page via Identity University.

When I view the information about the class in my training profile in Identity University, the start and end time of the class is different than what I was told?
Double check your training profile is set to your current time zone. You can find steps to change it here.

Where do I go the first day to join the class?
The link to join the class is available in Identity University, via the Plan page for each registered participant. They will find the class by name, click into it, and see the button to Attend the class. We run the virtual session on MS Teams.
