I wanted to share some insights and seek advice on a challenge we’re facing while integrating TeamDynamix (TDX) with SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN). Here’s our current situation:
Current Setup:
- We’ve successfully integrated most of our provisioning tasks through SailPoint IDN, including creating users and pulling most of the entitlements, such as Security Roles and Groups, from TDX.
- However, we’ve hit a roadblock when it comes to bringing the "Desktops" attribute or templates from TDX into SailPoint. The TDX API does not currently support this functionality, and after reaching out to the TDX team, we weren’t able to find a solution.
Challenge:
- It appears that provisioning desktops for users directly through SailPoint isn’t feasible unless we find a way to pull these desktops into SailPoint.
- Despite exploring all available API capabilities, assigning desktops remains the one requirement we haven’t been able to fulfill.
Questions for the Higher Education Community:
- Has anyone successfully integrated TeamDynamix with SailPoint IDN, particularly with respect to managing desktop templates? If so, how did you approach it—using Web Services, Flat Files, or another method?
- Are there any suggestions or potential workarounds that might help us achieve our goal?
