Default browser settings vary depending on learners and their organizations IT security. Read through the following troubleshooting steps to play eLearning courses from Identity University. Keep in mind that different browsers will have similar settings to configure.
First:
Confirm that you can play any Youtube video without issue from the browser you are currently using.
Be sure you are using the latest version of your browser.
Check for any browser extensions that may be interrupting service. It may or may not throw an error message in the address bar.
For Chrome users
Allows Pop-ups and redirects from university.sailpoint.com
OR go to Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data > Allow all cookies > Privacy and security > Site settings > scroll down to Pop-ups and redirects > ADD http://university.sailpoint.com to allow pop ups and redirects > go to Sound and make sure its Allowed.
Refresh browser when done.
For Edge user having sound issues:
Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Media autoplay > Learners using Edge when accessing identity University will want to change these settings to ALLOW > Add http://university.sailpoint.com
If this still does not fix the issue, you may try to:
Ensure your PC audio is at a moderate level.
If you are using headphones, check the hardware volume up/down adjuster.
Once a title is launched, be sure the audio slider on the eLearning player is at a moderate level.
Make sure that you are not connected to an external speaker or headset via Bluetooth if you still cannot hear any audio.
Check for any browser extensions that could be blocking access to Identity University.
If your company uses a VPN, try accessing Identity University off the VPN, or using a personal device on a different network (home, cafe, library).
If the problem persists, contact your IT department. They may need to whitelist Identity University on their side.
