This certification is designed for administrators who manage, configure, and maintain SailPoint solutions, and is ideal for those wanting to validate their expertise and advance their careers. The Engineer path: Elevating your skills to advanced levels 

Once you’ve built a strong foundation as an Identity Security Administrator, the Identity Security Engineer training path takes things to the next level. This advanced training path delves into the skills that are essential for more technical, hands-on roles: complex troubleshooting, API integrations, custom configurations and workflows and is designed for those who want expert-level control and customization capabilities of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. 

Here’s a quick overview of what has changed in the Identity Security Engineer path: 

• The following course was added: Configure and Extend Identity Security Cloud Connectors  

• A brand-new credential exam was added: Identity Security Expert Knowledge Credential  

• The following credential exam was removed: Identity Security Professional Knowledge Credential (you can find this credential exam within the Identity Secuity Administrator training path)

Today we launched a new and improved Identity University

The landscape of identity security is ever evolving, and effective training must evolve with it. On June 29, 2025, we are launching a new and improved Identity University, SailPoint’s industry-leading online learning platform. We are all in on our commitment to expand access to reputable identity security education, support development of the industry’s talent pipeline, and drive the success of identity security programs worldwide. 

We are thrilled to introduce a variety of exciting new features that will elevate the experience for all learners.  

• Enhanced learner experience: A fresh new and intuitive user interface and navigation, making it easier to find courses and training paths relevant to your role. 

• Course completion certificates: Share your accomplishments with your LinkedIn network, directly from Identity University.  

• Simplified eCommerce: Purchase courses, exams, and training subscriptions on your personal or company credit card seamlessly. 

• Self-service administration: Become an assigned training administrator for your organization to manage your team’s training unit agreements, view your team’s assigned learning completions, and more. 

This exciting news also brings a bit of change. We want to ensure that you are aware of important announcements with this transition. 

Key items to know: 

• Important announcement: Learners will need to complete ALL currently enrolled training before June 26, 2025 as incomplete work progress will NOT be saved or migrated to the new platform. 

• Blackout period (zero access to Identity University) is scheduled from June 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM CDT through June 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM CDT. 

• Launch date: The new and improved Identity University will launch on June 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM CDT. 

Data migration:  

• Your login information will not change. You will continue to access Identity University by navigating to https://university.sailpoint.com, but individual course links will change. 

• All existing profile data will be securely and accurately transferred, including all completed training, learner records, and course and exam registrations. 

• If you have a virtual machine lab (VM), access to it will be temporarily unavailable. You will regain access again on June 29, 2025. 

• If you wish to take a proctored exam before June 25th, please be sure to schedule it as soon as possible. Scheduling an exam will not be available during the blackout dates listed above. Scheduling will resume on June 29th, 2025. 

• Our full library of on-demand courses will continue to be available and accessible to learners. 

• Our instructor-led courses will continue to be available and accessible to schedule. 

• This update will not affect any current training units or subscriptions. User access to on-demand content will be synchronized with subscription expiration dates. Meaning, when the subscription expires, access to the on-demand content will also expire.

1. New training onboarding guide 

Getting started with training just got easier! Our newly launched Training Onboarding Guide is your one-stop resource for understanding the learning paths, available courses, and key milestones in your training journey. Whether you're new to SailPoint or looking to expand your expertise, this guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you make the most of your training experience. 

2. Earn rewards with the Admirals Club by completing training milestones 

We know that learning takes dedication, and now, your efforts will be rewarded! The Identity University team and Admirals Club are excited to introduce new ways to earn Admiral Points. Current customers registered in the Admirals Club can earn points by completing training courses, participating in our education advocacy program, and achieving key milestones.  

Effective February 1, 2025, members can earn Admiral Points by reaching these exciting milestones in their training journey: 

• Earn 3 Admiral Points: Successfully completed all the classes in the Identity Security Engineer training path or Identity Security Administrator training path 

• Earn 5 Admiral Points: Pass the exam and earn the SailPoint Certified Identity Security Engineer badge 
• Earn 3 Admiral Points: Train at least two team members from a new customer account through the Identity Security Administrator training path 
• Earn 30 Admiral Points: Participate in our education advocacy program by providing feedback and contributing to the improvement of training content or the development of new materials. Contact training-help@sailpoint.com to learn more about this new program.
